Liverpool are reportedly planning to offer Sevilla player including cash in exchange for Lucas Ocampos in the summer.
The Reds have suffered four consecutive Premier League defeat - the following year after winning the title for the first time in over three decades, the first time they have done so in over 60 years.
However, Jurgen Klopp is already planning to fortify his squad for the coming season with a move for the Argentina international.

The Merseyside outfit may not be able to pay for his outright value, hence, they will add Japanese international Takumi Minamino in a deal to land the 26-year-old.
Minamino joined Liverpool from Red Bull Salzburg in a deal less than £10 million in January 2020 but failed to establish himself in the team with the trio of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino always preferred ahead of him.
One year after completing a move to the Premier League, he has been sent on loan to Southampton until the end of this season with the hope of helping him get more playing time and also improving his game.
Meanwhile, after just three matches for the Saints, Minamino has recorded two goals to his name after completing a move to the club on February 1.
Football Espana reports that Sevilla appear interested in the move for the former RB Salzburg attacker to the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan but the two clubs are still some distance apart in their valuations.

The Reds succumbed to a fourth straight defeat at Anfield as Everton ran out 2-0 winners in the Merseyside derby.
Richarlison gave his side the lead early on while a penalty late in the game from Gylfi Sigurdsson put the game beyond doubt.
