Napoli forward, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has on numerous occasions admitted his love for La Liga club Real Madrid.

Kvaratskhelia, who continues to be a sensation for the Neopolitans, spoke to the media ahead of the meeting between both sides, touching on a few topics, including his side's chances of triumphing over the 14-time UCL winners.

Kvaratskhelia on facing Real Madrid

The 22-year-old has had a paradoxical start to the 2023/24 season, as reported by Football Italia, and spoke about his excitement about playing against Real Madrid.

"It is impossible not to be happy with a night like this when you face Real Madrid in your stadium."

The Georgian forward scored 12 goals and set up 10 in 34 Serie A appearances, as reported by Goal. He further highlighted his side's chances of defeating Los Blancos.

"I grew up watching Real Madrid on TV, and today I want to beat them. We're not scared of them."

While Kvaratskhelia fancies his side's chances of clinching victory, it should be recalled that the Neopolitans are yet to secure a win against the Spanish club, failing in four previous attempts and their best result being the 1-1 home draw in the 1987/88 season, according to data from UEFA.com.

While Rudi Garcia's side will be hoping to secure a win against Madrid, the game could serve as an audition for the Georgian forward, given recent reports linking him with a transfer to Real Madrid.

Napoli's TikTok account mocks Osimhen

Sports Brief also reported on Victor Osimhen's missed penalty costing Napoli a potential three points, provoking a frustrated response from fans.

The club then posted a controversial video on its official TikTok account which depicts the Nigerian appealing for the penalty, only to see him miss.
