FootballLyle Foster Set for Burnley Return Against Luton Town Following Red Card Suspension
- Lyle Foster has so far scored half of Burnley’s four goals in their Premier League campaign
- Burnley sit second from bottom with just one point from six games
- Luton Town will aim to use home advantage to record their second win of the season
Burnley will welcome the return of their standout South African striker when they travel to Luton Town.
Forster was suspended for two matches following an elbow to the midsection of Nottingham Forrest’s Ryan Yates in their Premier League encounter.
With no wins from their opening six matches and just four goals to show for their efforts, Burnley will be desperate to register a win and hope Foster will prove the catalyst for the three points.
The former Orlando Pirates and Westerlo striker has been in red-hot form, creating and scoring for club and country.
Burnley manager Vincent Kompany has stated his relief at having Foster available for the six-pointer. He said via Hollywood Bets Sports Blog:
"We're not lacking goals for the lack of creating chances, we just don't put them away. "We have to believe performances are good and we keep creating chances, but playing top sides is difficult. But we have to believe we're on the right track to get results."
Kompany may be ruing the timing of the fixture as it was originally scheduled for the second week of the season. Improvements to Luton Town’s Kenilworth Road stadium were mandated in order to have the facility compliant with Premier League standards, as listed by Luton Town’s website at the end of August.
The delayed scheduling may have removed any element of surprise either club would have been hopeful to capitalise on.
"It's not necessarily bad. It's about approaching a game as you have to, prepare well, get there and believe in the fact you can score goals and defend.

Football"These games, I don't think it should be any different. I know the outside world will have a different view but we have to approach the game the same way,” Kompany was quoted as saying by SABC Sport.
When Foster grabbed his first PL goal
Sports Brief earlier reported that Foster grabbed a stunning goal in Burnley’s game against Aston Villa, to make the score 2-1.
The goal came at the start of the second half and impressed coach Vincent Kompany.
Sadly for the South African, and Burnley, his goal wasn't enough to inspire a comeback. Moussa Diaby grabbed a third goal for Villa as they won 3-1.
