Al-Nassr forward, Cristiano Ronaldo ditched his iconic 'Siuuu' celebration, instead opting for the 'calma' after netting his inaugural goal in the AFC Champions League.

The veteran's long-awaited debut goal came against Tajikistani side, Istiqlol Dushanbe on Monday, October 2, as he found the net from a remarkably challenging angle.

According to GOAL, his strike spurred a comeback victory for the Knights of Najd, who were on the brink of defeat with less than 35 minutes remaining in the match.

Ronaldo ditches 'Siuu' for 'calma'

In a noticeable change, the 38-year-old refrained from using his signature leaping celebration, which typically accompanies most of his goals.

This time, perhaps due to the significance of his equaliser and the timing of the goal, he chose an alternative celebration - the 'calma.'

Ronaldo gestured to the crowd to remain calm, acknowledging the challenging situation, before signalling to the fans that he was now 'in charge'.

Following Ronaldo's opening goal, Luis Castro's team quickly added two more goals courtesy of the in-form Brazilian forward, Anderson Talisca, to secure a well-deserved 3-1 victory at Al-Awwal Park.

Ronaldo's debut AFC CL goal

Sports Brief also reported on Ronaldo scoring his debut goal in the AFC Champions League during Al-Nassr's match against Istiqlol Dushanbe earlier this week.

He was unable to find the net in his first appearance in Asia's counterpart to the UEFA Champions League during the narrow win over Persepolis in their group opener.

However, in the latest match, Ronaldo skillfully outwitted the Istiqlol goalkeeper, executing a precise chip into the net from an exceptionally tight angle.

Ronaldo, Al-Nassr stars celebrate with fans

Sports Brief also covered Ronaldo celebrating with Al-Nassr fans and his fellow teammates after their recent victory in the AFC Champions League.

While the final score might suggest an easy win, the Saudi side had to mount a comeback and be resilient to secure back-to-back wins in the competition.

After the match, guided by the 38-year-old Ronaldo, Al-Nassr approached their fans to partake in the celebration, maintaining a tradition for this season.
