Mikel Arteta's charges have picked up 17 points from seven of their opening matches, with their latest outing ending in a 4-0 thrilling win over Bournemouth on Saturday, per BBC.

Arsenal's hot start has them sitting third in the standings, just a point behind leaders Manchester City.

Neville backs Arsenal to win the EPL

Neville now contends that the north Londoners are on course to win the Premier League title this season.

According to the former United defender, City's Saturday slip-up will be a great motivation for Arsenal in the title race.

"I’ve got Arsenal to win the league this year. That post-treble feeling, what it would have taken out of those City players and staff would have been enormous," Neville said on his podcast, as cited by Metro UK.
"They could easily win the league this season and obviously it is just one game, but little results like that give the other teams encouragement," he added.

The reigning champions were stunned 2-1 on Saturday by Wolves at Molineux, with the loss coming just days after they crashed out of the Carabao Cup.

Havertz scores first Arsenal goal

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Arsenal players showed their class side during their clash against Bournemouth after they allowed Kai Havertz to take a penalty for his first-ever goal for the Gunners.

Havertz sealed a sensational summer move to the Emirates Stadium when he swapped Chelsea for the north Londoners.

The former Chelsea star has endured a frustrating start to life at the Emirates, with his struggles in front of the goal earning him criticism from fans.
