Chelsea FC and England Women forward, Lauren James, has claimed she would like to go on a dinner date with Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu -popularly known as Burna Boy.
James is one of the best young female footballers in the world and grew to prominence after leaving Manchester United Women for Chelsea Women in 2021.
She was part of the England Women's squad that finished second at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
James became popular in Nigeria after her on-field incident with Super Falcons defender Michelle Alozie when the Three Lionesses faced Nigeria in the round of 16 of the Women's World Cup.
In a recent interview with Sky News, The Chelsea Women winger claims she wouldn't mind going on a date with Nigerian musician Burna Boy, according to Daily Post.
The 22-year-old said this while listing the three people she would go on a dinner date with.
Interviewer asked:
“Three people you would invite over for dinner?”
James answered:
“You [interviewer], Kevin Hart; he’s very funny. The third person would be probably a singer. I would probably say Burna Boy.”
Burna Boy is a Grammy-award-winning Nigerian singer who is very popular globally and is known for dropping a lot of hit songs.
The Nigerian singer recently released his new album 'I Told Them', which has continued to break records and make waves across the globe.
