Neymar Jr is struggling to adapt to life in the Saudi Pro League after joining Al-Hilal and now has to deal with the harsh reality of playing in a stadium he doesn't think is conducive.
Neymar joined Al-Hilal in the summer after ending his time at Paris Saint-Germain, where he spent six years, having joined from FC Barcelona in 2017.
After two years, Lionel Messi left the Paris club and headed for Major League Soccer with Inter Miami after turning down proposals from other prospective destinations.
According to Sportskeeda, the Saudi giants went after the Brazilian playmaker after missing out on Messi, who turned down a world-record salary to join Inter Miami.
Neymar shocked by opponent's stadium
Al-Hilal beat Al-Shabab 2-0 in their last SPL game thanks to goals from former Premier League stars Kalidou Koulibaly and Aleksandar Mitrovic, while Neymar missed a penalty.
The former Barcelona star is still waiting for his first goal. As the team prepares to travel for their AFC Champions League matchday two game against Iranian opponent Nassaji Mazandaran FC, he saw something unbelievable.
ActuSPL shared a video of the Azadi Stadium, the home of Nassaji FC, with the turf just getting laid ahead of the meeting with Al-Hilal on Tuesday, and Neymar responded.
"This is not possible," he said with a facepalm and laughing emoji.
Neymar is still waiting for his first goal for Al-Hilal since his €100m move from PSG and will hope to get the ground running soon with the fans already losing patience with him. The Blue Waves drew their opening game against Uzbekistan opponent Navbahor.
