FootballPep Guardiola: Wolves Troll Man City Boss on TikTok After ‘Korean Guy’ Hee Chan Scores Winner
- Pep Guardiola forgot Wolves attacker Hwang Hee-Chan's name and called him Korean guy
- Hee-Chan scored the winner for Wolves in their 2-1 win over Manchester City
- The club made fun of the Spanish boss on TikTok for forgetting the player's name
Pep Guardiola will not enjoy the trolls from Wolves after a player he called by his nationality came back to hand his Manchester City side a defeat at the Molineux.
Wolves beat Manchester City 2-1 to hand the champions their first loss of the season as the citizens struggle in the absence of their manager on the touchline.
Spanish midfielder Rodri was also absent after receiving a straight red card against Nottingham Forest for grabbing Morgan Gibbs-White's neck and will miss three games.
City went behind through Ruben Dias' own goal before Julian Alvarez's fine freekick levelled it up. Hwang Hee-Chan put Wolves back in the lead in the second half, and they sealed the victory.
Wolves troll Guardiola
According to talkSPORT, Guardiola forgot Hee-Chan's name during his press conference and referred to him as "the Korean guy," only for him to come back and haunt City.
"Always we struggle at Wolves, and when you see the quality individually that they have, especially up front with (Pedro) Neto, with (Matheus) Cunha, with the Korean guy, they are really, really good," Guardiola said.
The Korean scored the winner, and Wolves X admin immediately reminded the former Barcelona boss they took note of how he called their player during his press conference.
Hours after the game, Wolves TikTok uploaded a troll video, which included Guardiola's statement, Chan saying he had no comment and a clip of the goal.
Pep intended no disrespect, and he probably forgot the name or possibly couldn't pronounce it and chose the easiest route.
Guardiola confronts referee
Sports Brief reported that Guardiola confronted referee Chris Kavanaugh after Manchester City's elimination from the Carabao Cup by Newcastle United.
He registered his displeasure with the official over his management of the game after his opponent got away with many kicks and fouls in the second half, which only resulted in two yellow cards.
