Legendary Nigerian midfielder Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha has named the two superstars he would have loved to play with during his illustrious career.
The former Paris Saint-Germain star was rated as one of the greatest football talents to come out of Africa and was a joy to watch during his playing days.
The retired football legend has played alongside several superstars both at the club and international level.
During an interview with GOAL Africa, the Super Eagles legend opened up on the two players he would have loved to play with.
"There are few of them because (I mean sometimes) players like me, you need somebody who will do the dirty job for you," he said.
"I would have loved to play with, I will say I played with one. You know that he was doing most of the dirty job, (Sunday) Oliseh.
"I would have loved to play with Michael Essien as well as Yaya Toure."
The former Bolton Wanderers midfielder also clarified when asked why he mentioned Toure, who is a bit offensive.
"I think he was a complete midfield player for me, not just offensive. He presses as well and used to do a lot of defensive work, but not that he tackles like Essien or even Oliseh, never used to tackle," he added.
"You know it's all about covering the right areas, knowing where to be, how to mark, and yes, with his goals, I can't say that I wouldn't have loved to play alongside him."
Okocha was part of Nigeria's squad that won the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia, according to TransferMarkt.
