Take Kubo Pulls Out Hilarious Fake Injury Celebration After Scoring in Basque Derby

Real Sociedad forward Takefusa Kubo continued with his impressive start to the 2023/24 La Liga season after scoring in the Basque Derby against Athletic Bilbao.

After scoring, the Japan international pulled out the famous fake injury twerk celebration used by some American sports stars.

The 22-year-old scored the second goal of the ermphatic win to take his La Liga tally for the season to five. Robin Le Normand and Mikel Oyarzabal scored the other goals, per Transfermarkt. The win leaves Imanol Alguacil's side 15th in the table after eight games.

Kubo has been phenomenal this season after completing a permasnent move to Sociedad from Real Madrid last summer.

After eight La Liga games, only Jude Bellingham has scored more goals in the SPanish top flightr than the Japanese this season.

After scoring in the just after the interval, Kubo pulled out the now famous fake hamstring injury and twerk celebration. The video, posted on X by La Liga went viral.

After he scored, he ran up to the corner to do the celebration which left his teammates and fans in stichetes.

The celebration was made popular by Kansas City ace Lo'eau Bonta who wowed fans with the celebration. After scoring, she pretended to have hurt her hamstring before doing the celebration, in August 2022.

NFL champion Travis Kelce recently did the celebration in Kansas City Chiefs training fascilities.

Sports Brief earlier reported on Lo'eau LaBonta pulling out the fake injury twerk celebration after scoring for Kasas City against Angel City in the National Women's League Soccer League match in the United States.

Angel City had gone ahead in the 78th minute, but Kansas City Current had a chance to restore parity four minutes later when they were handed a penalty.

LaBonta stepped up to take the spot-kick, which she cooly dispatched to even the tie once again. But it was her celebration afterwards that left people talking.
