Man City have become a laughing stock on social media following their shock defeat at Wolves.

The reigning English champions have enjoyed a hot start to the new season, winning all their six opening fixtures of the campaign.

Pep Guardiola's men were looking to make it seven out of seven during their trip to Molineux on Saturday.

However, this was not the case, as they were condemned to a 2-1 defeat in what was their first loss of the season.

Sky Sports reports that Wolves took the lead inside 13 minutes when Ruben Dias directed the ball into his own net.

Julian Alvarez went on to restore parity for City in the 56th minute, only for Hwang to restore the hosts' lead almost 10 minutes later.

Efforts by City to earn at least a point proved futile as Wolves held firm to secure the three points.
