Jwaneng Galaxy coach explained that his side focused on containing the attacking threat of Paseka Mako and also practised penalty kicks.

The visitors converted all their spot kicks and won the tie 5-4. After the game, Ramoreboli said, via iDiski Times:

“We wanted to drop deep because we knew that they were gonna come at us, try to get those spaces behind them but to be honest, I think they were very disciplined in terms of dealing with our counter attacking game because if you check today, the Mako we usually see going forward and taking he was very disciplined today.
“Unfortunately, they managed to get a goal and I think it unsettled us a bit.
“But we came back and we managed to win it on penalties, which we did try to practice them as well, to make sure that we come here and maybe take it through.”

How Orlando Pirates crashed out

Sports Brief earlier reported that Botswana's Jwaneng Galaxy knocked out the Buccaneers via penalties after the match was level 1-1 on aggregate.

Pirates went into the game trailing by a single goal after the first leg but grabbed an equaliser in the 66th minute thanks to Evidence Makgopa and the game went to penalties, and with both teams scoring four each, Relebohile Mofokeng stepped up and saw his attempt denied.

Galaxy then converted their fifth kick to progress in the tournament and dumped the Buccaneers out of the tournament.
