Super Eagles star, Alex Iwobi has been named the Man of the Match in Fulham's win over Norwich City in the Carabao Cup third-round fixture on Wednesday, September 27.
The Cottagers qualified for the next round of the competition after their 2-1 win over the Canaries at Craven Cottage.
Iwobi got his first start for Fulham under Marco Silva in the game and was in the line-up alongside Nigerian international, Calvin Bassey.
The Super Eagles midfielder's impressive performance in the game earned him the Man of the Match award, according to the Daily Post.
The Nigerian provided the assist for the first goal of the game before scoring the second, which eventually stood as the winning goal.
The former Arsenal star was nominated for the best player in the game alongside Fulham teammates Fode Ballo-Toure and Marek Rodak.
Fans decided the winner of the award by voting. Iwobi got 47.5% of the vote.
Senegalese left-back, Ballo-Toure was second with 13.7%, ahead of Rodak's 11.9%.
Fulham will face lower division side Ipswich Town in the round of 16 of the competition next month.
Before that, Iwobi and his club teammates will focus on their upcoming Premier League fixture against London rivals Chelsea at Craven Cottage this weekend.

Sports Brief earlier reported that Arsenal legend, Ian Wright has criticised Everton for selling Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi to Premier League rivals Fulham in the summer.
Wright, during an interview with Premier League Productions via Liverpool Echo, claimed that the Merseyside Blues were wrong to have sold the Nigerian to a direct rival.
The Arsenal icon further explained his disappointment in Everton's decision to sell their most creative player, and not even to a top club in England.
