- Uncertainty continues to surround the future of Victor Osimhen at Napoli

- The Super Eagles ace will now be monitored by other top European clubs should his situation escalate
Victor Osimhen has dominated Italian football headlines for the better part of the week following his penalty miss and substitution against Bologna on Sunday, September 24.
Napoli shared TikTok videos mocking the Nigerian striker before they were taken down. The controversial videos were not well received by fans, with Osimhen responding by deleting all pictures of him in a Napoli shirt from his Instagram account.
The 24-year-old further responded on Wednesday night when he scored against Udinese to help the defending champions secure maximum points in a 4-1 rout. The victory sees Rudi Garcia's charges remain within striking distance of the leading Milan teams.
However, with Napoli yet to issue an apology or any statement on the spiteful videos, rumours have started to emerge over Osimhen's long-term future in Naples.
It was widely expected that the former Lille striker would move on this summer after a splendid season under Luciano Spalletti, but no club submitted an offer to tempt the club President Aurelio De Laurentiis to sell.
An old video of the Nigerian star has now resurfaced online, appearing to shed light on which club he could consider moving to.
Osimhen's past message to Chelsea
After the 2015 U-17 FIFA World Cup staged in Chile, Osimhen said in an interview with TVC Sports Centre that playing for Chelsea would be the greatest opportunity of his life.
The striker was responding to a question about who was his role model. He mentioned the Blues legend Didier Drogba before following it up with a subtle message to Chelsea on whether he would consider joining them.
Why Victor Osimhen Did Not Join Manchester United in the Summer
FootballWith Chelsea currently struggling for goals upfront, it looks like a feasible move for the Mauricio Pochettino-coached side to move for Osimhen. But their struggles over the last few months, coupled with the lack of European football, might be a drawback in convincing top talents to join.
His current deal with the Partenopei runs until June 2025, as captured by Transfermarkt.
Osimhen urged to join Arsenal
Sports Brief also reported on Piers Morgan’s interesting take on the Osimhen debacle.
Morgan took to his official page on X (formerly Twitter) to advise the Super Eagles striker while replying to football insider Fabrizio Romano's tweet on the issue.
He told the Nigerian not to endure mistreatment at Napoli, according to Soccernet. The veteran journalist went on to tell the Napoli striker to consider a move to English Premier League side, Arsenal.
