- Alejandro Garnacho was on target during Man United's win against Crystal Palace
- He opened the scoring in their round of the Carabao Cup played on Tuesday night
- Casemiro and Anthony Martial were the other goal-scorers for United in the game
Manchester United youngster, Alejandro Garnacho has sparked reactions after he copied Cristiano Ronaldo's celebration on Tuesday night.
The Argentine ace was among the goal-scorers as United stunned Crystal Palace 3-0 in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
Garnacho was named in the starting XI as Erik ten Hag rotated his team from the one that played Burnley over the weekend in the Premier League.
The tie saw the likes of Harry Maguire and Anthony Martial get some minutes under their belts, with Mason Mount also making a return from injury.
According to BBC Sport, Garnacho opened the scoring for the Red Devils in the 21st minute before Casemiro added the second six minutes later to put United on their way to a place in the last 16.
Garnacho copies Ronaldo's celebration
The United academy graduate went on to pull off one of Ronaldo's celebrations after he found the back of the net.
The youngster celebrated by pointing to the ground, a gesture that was first seen with Ronaldo during the latter parts of his career in Europe.
Garnacho is understood to be a huge admirer of Ronaldo, whom he distinguishes as his idol.
Incidentally, this was not the first time the forward had imitated Ronaldo's celebration, having copied the veteran forward's signature cele back in November 2022.
At the time, Sportbible reports that Garnacho was teammates with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
Ten Hag speaks on Sancho situation
Earlier, Sports Brief reported on ten Hag's update on Jadon Sancho following his side's win over Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup.
The Englishman was not part of the squad that played the Eagles at Old Trafford during the third round of the cup on Tuesday night.
Sancho is currently suspended from all United's first-team activities after he clashed with ten Hag before the international break.
