Nigerian forward, Victor Osimhen has seemingly reacted to Napoli's TikTok post, which sought to mock him for missing a penalty, by deleting all club-related photos and videos from his Instagram account.

The Super Eagles striker fired blank as the Serie A champions were held to a goalless draw by Bologna over the weekend.

In a now-deleted post on TikTok, Napoli shared a video after the game depicting the striker missing from the spot along with a high-pitched voiceover mocking the Nigerian.

The post by the club has seen them receive huge backlash from fans in Nigeria and beyond, with some urging the striker to leave the Naples outfit.

Osimhen has not responded to the trolling but has now deleted all club-related posts on his Instagram handle, apart from his tribute to Diego Maradona.

According to Al Jazeera, the striker's agent, Roberto Calenda is also considering taking legal action against the club.

The 24-year-old led Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years as well as winning the Italian top flight league's Golden Boot last season.

The lanky forward has been on the radar of several clubs but decided to stay in Naples until the right offer came along. However, it seems he may be regretting that decision now.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Osimhen's agent threatening legal action against Napoli after the club published a video mocking the striker on its official TikTok account.

The controversial post, which was subsequently deleted, showed the Nigerian failing to score from the spot against Bologna, along with a high-pitched and mocking voice.

Osimhen's agent, Calenda released a statement on social media on Tuesday evening, stating the actions of the club in its mockery of his client was simply 'not acceptable'.
