Barcelona's undefeated run in La Liga this season remains intact, but their streak of six consecutive wins was halted on Tuesday evening as they played to a 2-2 draw against Mallorca at Son Moix.

Mallorca took the lead twice with goals from Vedat Muriqi and Abdon Prats, but Barcelona managed to level the score each time, with Raphinha and Fermin Lopez, who scored his first competitive goal for the first team.

The match proved to be a frustrating one for Barcelona, and head coach Xavi Hernandez expressed his post-match disappointment, stating that his team should have emerged as winners.

He highlighted that his side made numerous errors throughout the 90 minutes.

"It's an insufficient point, and it's due to our own mistakes," Xavi said, via Barca Centre. The second goal they scored was a childish mistake."

Xavi has valid reasons for his frustration. Mallorca's opening goal resulted from a defensive mix-up, while their second goal came from a long ball that Abdon Prats converted, per Football Espana.

Barcelona are eager to make a swift recovery.

They are set to take on Sevilla at the Olympic Stadium on Friday, and their opponents will enter the match with boosted confidence following an impressive win on Tuesday.

Xavi pulls off incredible ball control

In the same game, Xavi showed off incredible skills with an impeccable first touch during the club’s away La Liga clash against Real Mallorca.

The former Barcelona captain showcased his vintage skills in the first half at Son Moix Stadium.

In the 28th minute, with his team already trailing 1-0, Xavi effortlessly controlled a miscued clearance from a Mallorca player with the outside of his foot.

Xavi chooses best moment as Barca's boss

Sports Brief earlier reported on Xavi picking his happiest moment as Barcelona boss.

The World Cup winner said beating their bitter rivals Real Madrid was his happiest moment and the turning point for last season.
