Kaizer Chiefs should have had a penalty against Mamelodi Sundowns, says Ace Ncobo.
The Amakhosi had a late penalty shout waved away despite Thapelo Maseko making contact with Mduduzi Mdantsane in the box.
The decision has caused a lot of controversy in South Africa, with many fans accusing Sundowns of benefitting from the referees in the country.
The decision proved costly for the Amakhosi as they were eliminated from the MTN 8. Former referee Ncobo has now provided his verdict on the matter.
As noted by iDiskiTimes, Ncobo touched on that incident and a few others from the game, explaining what the correct decisions should have been.
Ncobo explained that no argument could be made that Mdantsane initiated the foul.
Why Shalulile's goal was illegal
He also touched on Peter Shalulile’s 10-second goal, saying it shouldn’t have been allowed.
“The players of the team that is not taking the kick-off must be outside the centre circle. He (Shalulile) is inside the centre circle, which means he’s infringing the laws of the game, he’s supposed to be called back outside the circle area,” Ncobo explained.
Ncobo then also touched on the match between Orlando Pirates and Sundowns and the controversial moments that came out of it.
With Ncobo providing his expert opinion, fans have again called for VAR to be introduced in the country.

Doctor Khumalo weighs in on penalty shout
Sports Brief also reported that former Kaizer Chiefs superstar, Doctor Khumalo has faulted referee Luxolo Badi for not awarding AmaKhosi a penalty against Mamelodi Sundowns.
After the first leg clash of their 11th MTN8 semi-final ended 1-1, Masandawana went through following a 2-1 win in the reverse fixture.
It took just ten seconds into the game before Peter Shalulile opened the scoring to give the home team the advantage.
