The Amakhosi were denied a penalty late in the game, leading to an uproar on social media, and it’s only escalated further after AmaZulu’s last match.

The Usuthu drew 0-0 with Polokwane City in that fixture but were denied a clear penalty in the first half of the game. As noted by Soccer Laduma, AmaZulu had a penalty shout in the first half when Bulelani Nikani handled in the box.

The defender inexplicably stopped the ball with his hand after the keeper passed it to him from a goal kick.

The referee blew the whistle at first but didn’t give a penalty despite the appeals of AmaZulu players and management.

The incident has led to further calls for the South African Football Association to intervene or for the Premier Soccer League to do more.

Kaizer Chiefs fans want justice

Kaizer Chiefs fans aren’t in the mood for Heritage Day celebrations.

The club’s supporters are more interested in getting justice for their defeat against Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN 8, Sports Brief reported.

Amakhosi supporters flooded a SAFA social media post for Heritage Day, complaining in the comment section about the referee in the game.

Doctor Khumalo weighs in on penalty shout

Former Kaizer Chiefs superstar, Doctor Khumalo has faulted referee Luxolo Badi for not awarding AmaKhosi a penalty against Mamelodi Sundowns.

After the first leg clash of their 11th MTN8 semi-final ended 1-1, Masandawana went through following a 2-1 win in the reverse fixture.

It took just ten seconds into the game before Peter Shalulile opened the scoring to give the home team the advantage, Sports Brief reported.
