A Sheffield United fan has gone viral on social media after she was caught reading a book inside the stadium during their 8-0 mauling by Newcastle.
The Blades hosted the Magpies at Bramall Lane in an entertaining Premier League clash on Sunday that saw a historic eight goals scored by the visitors.
Sheffield seemed beleaguered from the moment Sean Longstaff opened the scoring for Newcastle in the 21st minute.
Longstaff's opener saw defenders Dan Burn and Sven Botman get their names on the scoresheet before the break.
Callum Wilson went on to add the fourth in the 56th minute before Anthony Gordon, Miguel Almiron, Bruno Guimares, and Alexander Isak joined the goal-fest.
According to Sky Sports, the scoreline was Sheffield's heaviest home defeat in the history of the club.
Fan spotted reading book
With fans, especially from the away end, enjoying action on the pitch, one home supporter was not particularly impressed with the outcome.
So much so that she opted to pull out her book to read inside the stadium as others watched the hosts get hammered.
Talksport reports that a host of Sheffield United fans had headed for the exit as soon as the fifth goal was scored.
Shortly after the seventh was scored, cameras zoomed one of the supporters who sat reading a book in the stands, having clearly had enough of the humiliation.
Meanwhile, Paul Heckingbottom's charges will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways when they take on West Ham United in London next Saturday.
