- A popular influencer from Nigeria, Mr. Jollof, claims he would have won N5.6m had Napoli won the game
A Nigerian influencer, Mr. Jollof, claims he lost over N5.6million following Victor Osimhen’s penalty miss in Napoli’s goalless draw with Bologna in a Serie A clash on Sunday.
The reigning Italian champions failed to claim all three points away from home, leaving some bettors gnashing their teeth in regret.
Having hit the woodwork in the opening minutes, the 24-year-old Nigerian international was presented with a glorious opportunity from the spot in the second half after a Bologna defender handled the ball in the danger area.
Last season’s top scorer, Osimhen, stepped up to take it, only to fire wide as Napoli failed to capitalise on the advantage.
Meanwhile, back in Nigeria, Mr. Jollof had already staked on Napoli to defeat Bologna, amongst other games that he had predicted correctly.
Footage shows how the influencer would have won over N5.6 million should Napoli have won the game, as he placed a N5000 bet on games worth 928 odds.
Mr. Jollof took to social media to send a message to the striker. He captioned the clip :
“I’m tired of losing back to back how human being dey select games pass?”
He went on saying:
“I don’t have issues with you Victor Osimhen after the goalless draw. I predicted that Napoli will win, you had a penalty. I have never settled down to set up about 928 odds; Osimhen you broke my heart, but it’s fine.
“Please whenever you are to take penalties, have it at the back of your mind that people are also hustling.”
