Carlo Ancelotti has accepted full fault for Real Madrid’s performance and result after the Spanish giants saw their 100 percent record in La Liga this season ended by Atletico Madrid.
Critics have slammed the veteran Italian manager for the tactics he deployed against Atletico after opting to bench Joselu and playing five midfielders, which worked against Los Blancos in the tense game.
According to 90MIN, Ancelotti was keen to keep the blame on himself as Real Madrid dropped on the La Liga table to second, behind arch-rivals Barcelona, after their loss to Atletico.
"I think I could have done better. Obviously when the team doesn't work, it's my responsibility. But I have a very strong mentality. No problem. Taking responsibility is the minimum. It's my fault."
