We're only five games into the 2023/24 Bundesliga season, and we've already seen strikers scoring goals for fun. Christopher Nkunku and Niclas Fullkrug shared last season's Golden Boot both scoring 16 goals.

This season, the top scorer after five games has already scored 10 goals, meaning the bar is already high, and we'll see a new Golden Boot winner.

Bayern Munich won their 11th straight league title last season despite losing Robert Lewandowski and are sitting top of the table after five games this season. Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen are level on 13 points with Bayern.

Bayern's new striker, Harry Kane, is up and running and recently got his first Bundesliga hat-trick. Leverkusen's Victor Boniface has also made a phenomenal start to the season.

However, one striker who has gone under the radar is Serhou Guirassy, who leads the Golden Boot race. Sports Brief looks at the current top scorers in the Bundesliga this season.

2023/24 Bundesliga top scorers

5. Leroy Sane, Kevin Behrens, Eren Dinkci, Maximilian Beier - 4 goals

Although Kane is getting all the glory, Sane has provided some clutch moments for Bayern. Behrens' goals for Union Berlin came in the first two games of the season, while Dinkci's goals have come in Heidenheim's last three games. Beier has scored at least one goal in Hoffenheim's last four games.

4. Jonas Wind - Wolfsburg - 5 goals

The Wolfsburg striker scored four goals in the Bundesliga last season and has already surpassed that tally this season after five games. He scored a brace in each of the first two games of the season but has scored just once in the last three games.

3. Victor Boniface - Bayer Leverkusen - 6 goals

Boniface is one of many Nigerian strikers killing it in Europe this season. In his first season in Germany, the 22-year-old has scored six goals in five Bundesliga appearances. He has scored a brace in three Bundesliga games, failing to score in just two games. He scored 22 goals in all competitions in Belgium last season.

2. Harry Kane - Bayern Munich - 7 goals

The England captain won three Golden Boots in the Premier League and is the favourite to win his first in the Bundesliga this season. He has scored seven goals this season, including a hat-trick on Saturday, September 23. His seven goals have come in all but one game this season. Kane scored 30 Premier League goals last season, and barring any injury or illness, the Golden Boot is his to lose.

1. Serhou Guirassy - VFB Stuttgart - 10 goals

The 27-year-old Guinean has scored in every game so far, including one hat-trick and three braces. His ten goals have helped Stuttgart to third in the table, a point behind leaders Bayern and Leverkusen. Interestingly, Stuttgart have scored at least three goals in their four league games this season, per Transfermarkt. The striker has gone under the radar since Kane has taken all the attention.

Harry Kane makes Bayern history

Sports Brief earlier reported on Harry Kane making Bayern history after his hat-trick against VfL Bochum in a 7-0 win.

Kane became the first player in Bayern history to score seven goals in the first five league appearances.

Gerd Müller (1965), Miroslav Klose (2007) and Mario Mandžukić (2012) scored five goals in the first five league games.
