Al Wahda have continued with their impressive impressive run, winning their fourth consecutive match.
Having lost their season's opening game, Pitso Mosimane has led his side to four straight wins as they registered victory over Hatta on Sunday afternoon.
Al Bataeh defeated Al-Wahda 2-1 on the opening day, but Mosimane’s side recorded a 2-1 victory over Al Jazira, in their second victory of the league campaign.
Back-to-back wins over Emirates Club in the UAE League Cup continue the upward trend for the South African tactician and his side.
Al Wahda opened the scoring after 24 minutes when Omar Kharbin netted the 1-0, which turned out to be the match's only goal.
The win saw Mosimane’s side climb into fifth place on the log, three points behind leaders Al-Ain, iDiskiTimes reports.
Mosimane wants more trophies
Meanwhile, Mosimane is a serial winner, but he knows he could not have achieved it without a good team around him as well.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns boss has won 19 trophies throughout his managerial career so far, and he’s eager to add more to that with his new club, Al Wahda FC.
He aims to continue his success by following the same principles he used at previous teams.
Mosimane denies reunion with Sirino
Sports Brief earlier reported that Pitso Mosimane has reacted to the recent reports linking his club Al Wahda, to Mamelodi Sundowns winger Gaston Sirino.
The manager, who signed Sirino for the Brazilians during his time at the club in 2018, was not happy with being asked about the rumours linking the Uruguayan-born South African player with his new club in the UAE Pro League.
The former Al Ahly coach was present at the handover of the multipurpose sports court at Lofentse Girls High School in Orlando East, Soweto. The project was officially named after him.
