- Police had to wade in as some club supporters attempted to attack the coach after the game
- AmaKhosi fans are calling on the manager’s sack as they failed to return to winning ways
Some angry Kaizer Chiefs fans have called for the sacking of Molefi Nteski following their loss to SuperSport United.
A 2nd-minute goal by Terrence Dzvukamanja was enough to ensure that AmaKhosi were defeated away from home on Wednesday evening.
After the game, police officers had to stop irate Chiefs fans from attacking Ntseki, who watched as his boys were outplayed.
Following their goalless draw with Royal AM last week, fans had hoped that the Glamour Boys would return to winning ways, but they were stunned just 80 seconds into the game.
Zimbabwe’s Dzvukamanja brilliantly connected to a Bradley Grobbler cross from the left, leaving goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune with no chance.
That goal was enough to seal all three points for Matsatsantsa, a situation that got a section of Chiefs fans upset.
Amakhosi football manager, Bobby Motaung had to intervene and try to calm the fans down, Soccer24 reports.
The disgruntled fans could be heard saying “He must go!”, referring to Nketsi, who took over from Authur Zwane ahead of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.
Ntseki downplays meeting Broos
Meanwhile, Molefi Ntseki responded to the news of his possible meeting with Bafana Bafana coach, Hugo Broos.
Both managers were in the news in recent weeks after the former Cameroon manager made a comment about Kaizer Chiefs players.
The Chiefs manager downplayed it and claimed he was happy that one of his players was later called up, according to The South African.

FootballMokwena on win over Pirates
Sports Brief earlier reported that Mamelodi Sundowns manager, Rulani Mokwena disclosed that he perfectly understands grassroots football, and that has helped him profile opposition players like Patrick Maswanganyi and Zakhele Lepasa.
Heading into their clash on Wednesday, Maswanganyi and Lepasa were the most in-form players for Pirates, but they were caged as Sundowns impressed in the 1-0 win.
Mokwena disclosed that he knew these players from their amateur days, which has helped him make tactical decisions.
