Bayern raced to a 2-0 lead before Rasmus Hojlund scored one for the Red Devils early in the second half. The hosts scored a few minutes later from the spot through Harry Kane to extend their lead to 3-1.

Casemiro scored in the 88th minute, but the Bavarians added a fourth before the Brazilian scored United's third at the death.

Muller came on for Kane in the 87th minute. The 34-year-old nearly scored but his attempt hit the post. However, his team got the win.

Muller makes Champions League history

By making an appearance for Bayern in the entertaining game, per the club's official website, Muller now has 100 wins in the competition in just his 143rd match.

He joins Champions League legends, Ronaldo and Casillas in the exclusive club. The Al-Nassr striker has 115 wins with Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, while Casillas has 101 with Real Madrid and FC Porto. However, Muller is the only player to do it with one club.

He has scored 53 goals in the competition, per Transfermarkt.

"Looking back, it's been a crazy long time that I’ve been able to spend here in the Champions League. But I'm not done yet, and so it's just a staging post," he commented.

The 2023/24 season is Muller's 16th in the Champions League, equalling Zlatan Ibrahimović and Xavi in joint 12th place in the all-time ranking.

Muller's hilarious training routine

Sports Brief previously reported on Muller doing a bizarre training routine ahead of Bayern's Champions League clash against Man United.

In a video posted online, he was seen jumping with his hands spread out and seemed to be alone on the training pitch ahead of the game.

Muller has faced the Red Devils four times: winning two, drawing one, and losing one. He has only scored once against the EPL giants.
