Arsenal legend, Ian Wright has criticised Everton for selling Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi to Premier League rivals Fulham in the summer.
Iwobi joined the Cottagers on transfer deadline day in a deal reportedly worth £22 million.
The 27-year-old Nigeria midfielder struggled in his first two seasons with the Toffees after joining them from Arsenal in 2019, but got his groove back under Frank Lampard and Sean Dyche.
Wright, during an interview with Premier League Productions via Liverpool Echo, claimed that the Merseyside Blues were wrong to have sold the Nigerian to a direct rival.
"Everton have sold, for me, arguably, their best creative player in the last couple of seasons in Iwobi," he said.
"And they sold him to Fulham. This is the level they have dropped to."
The Arsenal icon further explained his disappointment in Everton's decision to sell their most creative player, and not even to a top club in England.
"I am not disrespecting Fulham. We are talking about Rooney to Manchester United, talking about big players, and even Arteta going to Arsenal," he added.
"Players going to big clubs now. Everton are selling certain players, top players, to Fulham. That’s how far they have fallen off."
Iwobi made his debut for Marco Silva's side last weekend against Luton Town. They won the tie courtesy of Carlos Vinicius' lone strike.
Everton are one of the teams that are still without a win in the Premier League this season.

FootballSports Brief earlier reported that Iwobi has claimed that he wants to create Premier League memories like his legendary uncle, Austin Jay Jay Okocha.
Okocha created a lot of Premier League memories during his time with Bolton Wanderers.
Iwobi, during an interview with Fulham TV, said that he witnessed some of Okocha's games at his new home ground Craven Cottage and hopes to create more memories.
