It is no secret that United are one of the underperformers so far, having collected just six points from a possible 15.
Erik ten Hag's side have been rocked by a number of issues, including the exclusion of Jadon Sancho and Antony from first-team training due to separate issues. He has then been affected by the loss of at least five key first-team players to injury.
The misfortunes have seen them lag behind, with Manchester City claiming an early lead. The defending champions are yet to drop a single point, with Tottenham, Arsenal, and Liverpool hot on their heels with 13 points.
Guardiola laughs off United question
Speaking ahead of City's Champions League opener against Serbian side Crvena Zvezda, Guardiola was asked to talk about the start of the other teams compared to his, to which he replied;
"You know how strong Arsenal is. I saw their game at Goodison Park. They are exceptional. Liverpool? The mentality is there," he said, as quoted by GOAL.
A journalist then asked about Manchester United, to which the Spanish head coach laughed. Here is the video.
Ten Hag will be looking for ways to arrest United's poor run of form, but he is currently incapacitated, given the depleted squad at his disposal. The Red Devils travel to Germany to face Bayern Munich in their opening game of the Champions League on Wednesday, September 20.
