  • Jadon Sancho was banished from Manchester United's first team after public spat with Erik ten Hag
  • Sancho will train with the reserves until he issues an apology for his public statement
  • The winger was spotted watching the U18 team take on Nottingham Forest earlier today

Jadon Sancho appears to be enjoying his time away from the first team as he was spotted watching his new 'mates' take on a Premier League youth rival today.

Sancho was banished from the first team after his public spat with head coach Erik ten Hag, stemming from the manager's criticism of his training attitude.

Ten Hag blamed the player's attitude for his omission from the matchday squad for the 3-1 loss against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last week, and the former Borussia Dortmund star fired back with a social media statement.

As reported by The Athletic, the 23-year-old was banished because he refused to apologise to the Dutch boss when the two met in person for crisis talks.

Sancho spotted watching U18 game

Sancho trained with the youth team after the international break as the senior team prepared for their game against Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford.

As spotted by Transfer News Live, Sancho was at Carrington to watch the U18 team take on Nottingham Forest, a game they won 2-1 thanks to goals from Victor Musa Aigbomian and Jack Kingdon.

United were later embarrassed by Brighton with a 3-1 scoreline, leaving them in the bottom half of the table after a spineless game by ten Hag's team.

Sancho spotted first time after statement

Sports Brief reported that Sancho made his first public appearance since releasing the bombshell statement after Erik ten Hag called him out.

He was in New York City with United teammate Aaron Wan-Bissaka, as both enjoyed their time off to attend NBA star John Wall's birthday.

Sancho deletes social media post

Sports Brief also reported that Jadon Sancho deleted his post on Twitter days after he released a statement in response to manager ten Hag's criticism of his attitude.

The former Ajax boss claimed the English winger was dropped from the matchday squad against Arsenal due to his poor training attitude, but the player denied it.
