- Terem Moffi was the star of the match as Nice registered a famous victory over PSG
- The Nigerian striker scored a brace and registered an assist during the encounter in Paris
- Kylian Mbappe also scored two goals for the home team but failed to take any points
Nigerian international Terem Moffi put up a five-star performance as Nice defeated Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 away from home.
The Super Eagles forward opened the scoring for the visitors in the 21st minute, but Kylian Mbappe restored parity eight minutes later.
Both teams went into the break with the score line level, but Gaetan Laborde struck to put his side ahead again in the 53rd minute.
Moffi completed his brace when he found space in the opposition area and placed a delightful cross to the Frenchman, who made the score line 2-1.
Nice extended their lead in the 68th minute when the Nigerian fired a low drive into the back of the net, but Mbappe scored his second goal with a sensational volley in the 87th minute.
It ended PSG 2-3 Nice.
Luis Enrique’s side would have gone top of the table with three points, but they slipped to third, leaving the manager utterly disappointed.
He said via RFI:
“Throughout the match, they were fresher than us. Obviously, a defeat hurts; we all have to improve, myself included. But I liked our state of mind.
“Of the three goals, two were deflected. Nice played great football, but I’m not worried, and I saw the fans support their team even when they were two goals down.”
Nice, backed by British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, will hope to bounce back this term from a disappointing campaign last season when they could only finish ninth in Ligue 1.

FootballJude Bellingham aims dig at Mbappe
Sports Brief earlier reported that Jude Bellingham took a sly swipe at Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe when questioned about the Frenchman's potential move to Real Madrid.
Despite being a long-standing target for the Spanish club, Mbappe's transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium remains uncertain after his sensational U-turn, which saw him extend his PSG contract.
As his current deal with the French champions approaches expiration next summer, speculation surrounding the 24-year-old's transfer to Madrid has resurfaced.
