Togolese legend Emmanuel Adebayor was among the African legends, who graced Jay Jay Okocha’s 50th birthday celebration in Lagos, Nigeria.
Okocha, who was born in Enugu, celebrated his Golden Jubilee on August 14 with several African football legends in attendance, including Ghana’s Asamoah Gyan and Khalilou Fadiga of Senegal.
Nigerian superstars Daniel Amokachi, Joseph Yobo, Emmanuel Emenike, Ifeanyi Udeze and Julius Aghahowa also turned up to celebrate the midfield maestro.
Among the lined-up activities for the bash included a charity game, which was played at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
All former footballers featured in a 5-aside game at the arena, showing off skills to the delight of a handful of fans inside the stadium, Tooxclusive reports.
Footage shows the moment Okocha caught the ‘dance fever’ as Adebayor, who was seated beside the birthday boy, grooved to a song.
Raising his hand in a typical manner while seated on the bench, the former Arsenal forward could be seen dancing, and Okocha had to give it a try as well.
It was a blissful celebration for Nigeria’s mercurial midfielder who left indelible footprints in the football world.
Balde names Okocha as best dribbler
Meanwhile, Barcelona star Alejandro Balde has chosen Super Eagles legend Austin Jay Jay Okocha as the best dribbler while picking his ultimate team.
The Spanish international is one of the rising stars in Barcelona and also the La Liga. He made his debut for the Catalans in the 2021-22 season and became a regular member of the starting line-up in the 2022-23 season.
The 19-year-old defender is regarded as one of the best left-backs in Europe due to his performance for the Blaugranas.
