The Saudi powerhouse overwhelmed their city rivals, emerging as clear winners in a dominant performance.
Amidst all the excitement surrounding the match, the primary focus was on the potential debut of Brazilian sensation Neymar.
Al Hilal had acquired the former Barcelona star during the summer transfer window from Paris Saint-Germain, generating significant anticipation for his first appearance in the match.
Neymar initially began the game on the bench, but in the 64th minute, Hilal's manager, Jorge Jesus, called upon the Brazilian talent, even though the home side were already leading 2-0.
How Neymar fared on his debut
Neymar had an excellent debut for Al Hilal. The Brazilian played only the last 25 minutes plus added time, but looked a class apart. He was also involved in three goals and managed to claim an assist as well.
Neymar's pass to Malcom was key for the third goal of Al Hilal, while the Brazilian assisted Malcom to make it 4-0.
He was again instrumental when Al Hilal won a penalty, but it was converted by Salem Al-Dawsari for the fifth goal.

Neymar was honoured by Al-Hilal fans, who unveiled a huge banner with his face to celebrate his new milestone for his country.
He netted twice in Brazil's 5-1 win against Bolivia in a World Cup qualifying match. It was Neymar's first match for Brazil since they were eliminated from the 2022 World Cup by Croatia in December.

"Neymar has personally selected the special group that includes family, friends, coaches, current and ex-teammates, and Brazil legends, all of whom will receive the boot number that corresponds to the goals they have scored for their national team."
