Xavi Hernandez's Barcelona have not had the dream start to their 2023/24 La Liga campaign as they continue struggling to grind results.

The 35-year-old forward who clinched the Pichichi award last season, has been unable to replicate his exceptional form this time around. However, the Polish striker has shed light on his perceived loss of form.

Lewandowski speaks about his current form

The former Bayern Munich forward who recently sat with Catalan outlet Diario AS, highlighted the reasons behind his form struggle.

"Before Barcelona I was a machine, here I have become more human.
"Some of the comments about the number of goals I scored were crazy, especially in the 41-goal season at Bayern (beating Gerd Muller's Bundesliga record).

Lewandowski stressed how his ambition has shifted in recent years:

“Breaking records is no longer my main goal. The most important thing is to help my team win and enjoy the matches. Don't get me wrong: I still want to succeed and score goals, but I'm not as tenacious as I used to be."

Lewandowski has had a tough start to the season, finding the back of the net two times in four appearances.

Despite his recent claim, the forward hopes to recover his goalscoring form as the La Liga champions gear up for the UEFA Champions League, which commences next Tuesday, as reported by Goal.

Lewandowski dazzles with Ronaldinho-like skills

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski treated fans to an amazing show of skill following the club's sizzling preseason performances on their US tour.

The La Liga giants triumphed over Serie A club AC Milan in Las Vegas just three days after defeating rivals Real Madrid in a highly eventful fixture.

Barcelona took to its official TikTok page to show Lewandowski performed a famous juggling skill synonymous with former Brazilian star Ronaldinho Gaucho which subsequently drew loads of plaudit from fans of the club.
