Kaizer chiefs manager, Molefi Ntseki has responded to the news of his possible meeting with Bafana Bafana coach, Hugo Broos.

Both managers were in the news in recent weeks after the former Cameroon manager made a comment about Kaizer Chiefs players.

The Belgian manager claimed that none of the Kaizer Chiefs players deserved a place in his South African national team squad.

After claiming that he was being misquoted, Broos later named Pule Mmodi as a replacement for the injured Themba Zwane and promised to set up a meeting with Ntseki when he returns to South Africa in October.

Reacting to the possible meeting between both, the Kaizer Chiefs manager downplayed it and claimed he was happy that one of his players was later called up, according to The South African.

“As Kaizer Chiefs, we were very happy to see one of our top-quality players (Pule Mmodi) being selected for Bafana,” he said.
“As for whatever happened, the most important thing is that we support our national team."

Furthermore, Ntseki wished the Belgian manager well at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

“I can only wish coach Hugo the best of luck going into AFCON,” he added.

During the international break, Bafana Bafana played two friendly games, drawing against Namibia, and defeating DR Congo 1-0 at the Orlando Stadium.

Bafana Bafana are currently on a nine-game unbeaten run, and their last defeat was in June 2022 against Morocco.

Ntseki pleased with Chiefs’ new signings

Sports Brief earlier reported that Ntseki is happy with his side's performance in the opening game of the new DStv Premiership season.

The Amakhosi gave many of their new signings a chance to feature in the game, but they could only manage a 0-0 draw with the Chilli Boys.

Despite dropping points in the opening game once again, Ntseki praised the performance of the new signings, saying that the future was bright with them, Times LIVE reported.
