Manchester United have announced Jadon Sancho will not train with the rest of the first team members at the club.
The announcement was made on Thursday evening through the club’s website, barely a fortnight after the winger sensationally claimed he was being used as a “scapegoat”.
In a statement, United announced Sancho would be on a “personal training programme away from the first team”.
“Jadon Sancho will remain on a personal training programme away from the first-team group, pending resolution of a squad discipline issue.” The statement read.
Sancho vs Ten Hag
Earlier in the day, it was reported that Manchester United chiefs, including football director John Murtough, had come in to try to resolve the stand off between player and manager.
This came barely days after Ten Hag and Sancho attempted to resolve their differences in a showdown meeting on Monday, but The Mirror reports that the talks bore little fruit.
United’s Chief executive Richard Arnold was also involved in the talks and is reportedly keeping a keen eye on the situation.
Sancho has since taken down a social media post hitting out at Ten Hag, something which is believed to have played a part in opening the door for talks.
Man United without several key players
Ahead of the match against Brighton and Hove Albion, Ten Hag now finds himself potentially without the services of several first-team players.
Antony is still in Brazil battling allegations against him, while Mason Mount and Raphael Varane are sidelined with injuries.
Sancho’s place in the squad is not guaranteed, as he was a substitute in the first three league games of the season, long before the infamous spat with his manager.

FootballOnana could miss 7 Man United games
Sports Brief also reported on the prospects of Andre Onana to miss up to seven games for his club in January 2024.
The shot-stopper confirmed in August he would return to the international fold, months after he quit the team following a row with the technical bench.
With the AFCON finals slated for between January 13 and February 11, Onana is sure to miss a couple of Man United fixtures.
