FootballHow Premier League Club Chelsea Plan to Sign Victor Osimhen Away From Napoli
- Victor Osimhen is a top target for Premier League side Chelsea
- The Blues are still in search of a new striker despite signing two strikers in the summer
- The Nigerian striker could be the missing piece in Mauricio Pochettino's team
English Premier League side Chelsea are planning on pricing Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen away from Napoli next summer.
The Nigeria international has been on the radar of top sides in Europe, due to his exploits with Serie A side Napoli since joining them from French Ligue 1 side Lille.
The Nigerian striker led the Partenopei to their first Serie A title last season after more than three decades, with the former Wolfsburg star scoring 26 goals in 32 league games.
According to reports in football.london, Chelsea are 'dreaming' of signing the Super Eagles striker from Napoli in the near future.
Osimhen is one of the most valuable strikers in football, and Napoli have warded off interest in the Nigerian with a £150 million price tag, according to reports.
The Blues are currently in search of a decent striker, as their investment in Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku has failed to yield early results at the start of this season.
Nkunku was brought in from RB Leipzig this summer but got injured in one of their pre-season games, thus ruling him out of action for four months.
Jackson, on the other hand, has failed to impress convincingly in the first four games of the season, scoring just one goal against Luton Town.
Chelsea have been linked with different strikers since the summer transfer window. The Blues were linked with a move for Taiwo Awoniyi, Brennan John, and the suspended Ivan Toney.
How Chelsea can sign Victor Osimhen
The Super Eagles striker has less than two years on his contract with Napoli, and if not extended, Chelsea could land the 24-year-old striker for a bargain price, according to Il Mattino.

Arsenal in Talks With Osimhen
Sports Brief earlier reported that English Premier League club Arsenal have continued talks with Victor Osimhen ahead of a possible transfer next summer.
It was gathered that the club’s sporting director, Edu Gaspar, reached out to Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis to inquire about the 24-year-old forward.
The Gunners are in a desperate bid to sign a world-class striker next year, and the former Lille of France striker has been identified.
