Villarreal sack coach Setien after poor start to season

Jadon Sancho has taken down a social media post in which he fired back at Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag, who called him out publicly after the last game.
Sancho's career at Old Trafford has not hit the same heights it did at Borussia Dortmund since his £73 million move back to his home country in 2021.
He has played under different managers but has been a shadow of himself, with ten Hag keen to help him rediscover his form and giving him a three-month mid-season break last year.
However, things turned sour between the player and the manager after Man United lost 3-1 to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last Sunday.
Villarreal sack coach Setien after poor start to season
FootballTen Hag claimed he dropped the English winger from the matchday squad against Arsenal after he was left unimpressed with his training attitude.
The player followed it up with a statement almost immediately.
As spotted by Transfer News Live, the 23-year-old brought down the post this evening, after five days in which it garnered over 50 million impressions on X (formerly Twitter).
Manchester Evening News reported that both parties met at United's training facilities at Carrington yesterday for crisis talks but the outcome of the meeting did not look promising.
Multiple reports in the English media have suggested that Sancho may have played his last game for the Red Devils and could be sold as early as the January transfer window.
There were reports he was close to leaving for Saudi Arabia days after the post, but The Athletic debunked these.

Sports Brief also reported on Sancho making his first public appearance since releasing the bombshell statement after Erik ten Hag called him out.
He was seen in New York City with United teammate, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, as both enjoyed their time off to attend NBA star John Wall's birthday.
