Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has been rewarded for his impressive performance for Nottingham Forest in the month of August.
The former Liverpool striker bagged two awards to cap off a wonderful month in August.
The Nigerian striker was named Nottingham Forest player of the month of August and also won the goal of the month.
The Premier League side made the announcement on their official website after the conclusion of the votes from fans, according to Complete Sports.
The Nigerian international emerged as the winner of the award with 83% of the votes cast.
He scored three goals in all of Forest's three games in August, thus making him the first Nigerian to score in seven consecutive Premier League games and the third African to achieve such a feat.
The Super Eagles striker's goal against Manchester United was voted by Forest's fans as the best goal for the month of August.
His performance for Steve Cooper's side also earned him a nomination in August Premier League Player of the Month, alongside Bryan Mbuemo, James Maddison, Kaoru Mitoma, Jarrod Bowen and Rodri.
Awoniyi has been Nottingham Forest's best player since joining them last season from Bundesliga side Union Berlin.
He finished as the club's highest goalscorer last campaign and has picked up where he left off this season.
