Cristiano Ronaldo has melted hearts after a fan was captured in excitement after getting his jersey signed by the five-time Ballon d’Or winner in Saudi Arabia.

The fan had offered Ronaldo a Manchester United shirt to get signed, and when the job was done, the man appeared to scream in excitement in appreciation of the gesture from the Al Nassr forward.

The clip has since gone viral, showing once more how influential Ronaldo has been to the football world in the last two decades, which has seen him grow one of the largest football fanbases in the world.

According to Wikipedia, Ronaldo has scored a record 850 senior career goals for club and country, and the Al Nassr forward is one of the few recorded players to have made over 1,100 professional career appearances.

Ronaldo to serve one game suspension

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo will serve a one-match international suspension after an accidental clash with a former Manchester United teammate during Portugal’s Euro 2024 qualifiers, United in Focus reports.

The 38-year-old forward was lucky not to have been sent off by the referee for a reckless tackle on Martin Dubravka when stretching for the ball with his boot hitting the Slovakia goalkeeper's face.

Ronaldo is now set to miss Portugal’s game against Luxembourg and has already departed the team’s camp and returned to Saudi Arabia due to his suspension.

Ronaldo drops World Cup retirement hint

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted that the 2022 FIFA World Cup may have been his final appearance at the global tournament.

Ronaldo, who participated in his fifth Mundial in Qatar last year, is currently on the other side of 30 and is coming to terms with the sobering reality that his illustrious career is nearing its end.

Another World Cup appearance in 2026 would see the veteran turning 41 by the start of the tournament, which is scheduled to take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
