A West Ham United football fan travelled thousands of miles to watch new signing Mohammed Kudus play for the Ghanaian National team in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Ghana faced the Central African Republic in their final game for the qualifiers, with the Black Stars needing a win to seal a place in the competition.

Kudus joined West Ham from Eredivisie side Ajax Amsterdam a few days before the transfer deadline and could only have one cameo appearance for the Hammers against Luton Town before the international break.

A West Ham fan, whose name is reportedly Ian, travelled to Kumasi to watch the Hammer's new signing and was not disappointed with the sacrifices he made.

Kudus was one of the star men of the game as he scored a stunning free-kick to level the scoreline for the Black Stars eighteen minutes after Louis Mafouta gave the Wild Beasts the lead.

Two minutes before the end of regulation time, 19-year-old winger Ernest Nuamah netted the late-winner to seal Ghana's place in the 2023 AFCON.

The presence of the West Ham fan at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, was met with lovely reactions from Ghanaian fans and he told Ghanaweb why he travelled to Kumasi, ESPN reports.

After enjoying the game with Ghanaian fans, the Hammers fan got the 23-year-old winger's signed No. 20 jersey as an added reward and an opportunity to meet him.

Kudus Scored Stunning Free Kick Against CAR

Sports Brief earlier reported that West Ham United midfielder, Mohammed Kudus scored a sensational free kick to draw Ghana level in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Central African Republic.

The visitors stunned the Black Stars after taking the lead through Louis Mafouta in the 25th minute, with Kudus called on to equalise two minutes before half-time.

Ghana struggled for the most part of the early exchanges but were seemingly awoken from their slumber after the CAR broke the qualifier's deadlock.
