Jude Bellingham has made a dream start to his Real Madrid career and has quickly become a fan favourite at the Santiago Bernabeu.

His former Borussia Dortmund teammate and Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has lauded the Englishman for his historic start in Spain.

The 20-year-old has been scoring for fun this season in La Liga. He has bagged five goals in his first four Real Madrid games - including a stoppage-time winner at home to Getafe before the September international break.

Haaland is happy that his former teammate is thriving in La Liga.

"By the way, I saw the incredible debut of Jude at Real Madrid, and that makes me very happy for him," Haaland told France Football via L'Equipe.

Several footballers have hailed Bellingham's incredible start at Real Madrid, who have won all four games this season and sit top of La Liga.

Bellingham and Haaland bromance

The duo played 63 times together for Dortmund in two seasons before the Norwegian striker completed his transfer to Manchester City in the summer of 2022 for just over £50 million, per 90min.

Bellingham and Dortmund narrowly missed out on the Bundesliga title last season before the Englishman decided to join Real Madrid for an initial fee of £88.5 million.

The pair seems to have struck a close friendship during their time in Germany. Bellingham revealed the Man City striker kept in touch during England's 2022 World Cup campaign.
