Liverpool's new midfielder, Dominik Szoboszlai netted a ridiculous free kick to help Hungary beat Bulgaria 3-0 back in March in their Euro 2024 qualifiers at home.
His effort was ridiculous and has been trending on social media after Lionel Messi netted another free kick for Argentina against Ecuador in the South American World Cup qualifier.
Szoboszlai was having a great game and assisted Hungary's first goal before netting a goal from the spot. The hosts were awarded the free kick in the 26th minute and the 22-year-old stepped up to take it.
He delivered a ridiculous strike, leaving people in the stadium and social media in awe. His incredible technique saw the ball fly past Bulgaria's goalkeeper, Daniel Naumov, who stood no chance despite getting a touch.
The goal was reminiscent of Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic free kick score for Manchester United against Portsmouth on January 30, 2008.
Hungary have made a solid start to their UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying campaign. They sit top of Group G with 10 points from four games after winning three and drawing one game.
Szoboszlai makes great start at Liverpool
Szoboszlai was one of the fresh faces in the Liverpool midfield this summer and he has made an incredible start at Anfield.
The Hungarian has been one of the standout performers, helping Liverpool start the Premier League season unbeaten.
He has played all four games for the Reds this season and opened his account in their 3-0 win over Aston Villa at Anfield this past weekend, per Transfermarkt.
He has played every minute for Liverpool so far this season and will be a key player for Jurgen Klopp's team as they look to bounce back after a disappointing 2022/23 season.
