- Five accused persons have been dragged to court over the killing of the star

A court sitting in Pretoria has heard how one of the suspects accused of killing Senzo Meyiwa announced the tragic news even before it got to the public.
The former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper was fatally shot during an alleged robbery incident at his girlfriend's house in Vosloorus.
According to the state witness, the former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper was killed on October 26, 2014, and one of the accused announced the death at a hangout at a hostel later that night.
A police officer attached to the visible policing unit at Sebenza SAPS in Edenvale with 12 years of service, Sizwe Skhumbuzo Zungu, confirmed that he knew all the accused.
Times Live reports that Sibiya, Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi, Mthobisi Prince Mncube, Mthokoziseni Maphisa, and Sifisokuhle Nkani Ntuli are accused of killing the Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates star.
During the Pretoria high court hearing, Zungu disclosed how Meyiwa’s tragic passing was celebrated with a bottle of whisky that night. He said, via Sowetan:
“I think it was between 2pm and 3pm. I won't be able to remember the exact time. If I remember well, there were many people. Accused 1, 2,3 were there, and accused 5 was there upon my arrival.”
He added that he was seated in the main room between 7.30 pm and 8.30 pm when Sibiya, Ntuli, and Mncube came in, following one another.
Zungu testified that before he left, Sibiya, who had on a red shirt, took it off, rolling it on his hand.
“He grabbed something to stand on and he was carrying a bottle in his hand. He then asked: ‘Have you heard that Meyiwa is no more?’”

AthleticsHe stated that he disputed the claim and had to go on social media to check.
Zungu further claimed that he had only heard of the news the following day and that he had left with Sibiya and two others that night.
Ratha Mokgoatlheng to judge Meyiwa's case
Sports Brief earlier reported that Ratha Mokgoatlheng, who is the judge in the matter, is a former footballer who once turned out for both Soweto giants.
Nicknamed Jimmy Greaves, he first joined the Buccaneers but did not spend too long at the club before he was expelled.
Mokgoatlheng explained that he took up law because of his admiration for Nelson Mandela and Oliver Tambo, and was admitted as an attorney in 1976 while still with the Amakhosi.
