Brazilian teenage sensation Endrick Felipe appears to be the next biggest star to come out of the country’s Serie A talent factory following the emergence of superstar forward Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo Goes.
The 17-year-old centre forward who has heralded headlines since bursting onto the stage in early 2022, immediately became a subject of transfer by numerous European clubs, including Real Madrid, who again pipped Barcelona to the signing of the young Brazilian.
Endrick, who is set to join Los Blancos in the summer of 2024 when he turns 18, recently sat down in an interview with French outlet L’Equipe where he revealed a few things about himself, including Real Madrid players that have been sources of inspiration to him.

The 17-year-old highlighted how he has modelled his gameplay around former Captain Karim Benzema and further compared his traits with that of the Al Ittihad forward.
“I’m a number nine with a soul of a number 10. I have loved Benzema since his years at Lyon. When Cristiano left, he became another player, a scorer, and an assistor.
I watched him a lot and his style of play is very inspiring.”
The Brazilian star also revealed what current Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. said to him after he finalised his transfer to Santiago Bernabeu.
“Viní Jr told me I was going to enjoy myself [at Real Madrid], have fun and that it would be the highlight of my career.”
Endrick who is currently experiencing one of his poorest forms in front of goal, further highlighted how his mentality was built to suit the demands of the Bernabeu.

Endrick escapes brutal tackle unhurt
Sports Brief in a previous report stated Endrick was on the receiving end of Corinthians midfielder Maycon’s brutal sweep as he charged down the field in a late counter-attacking play in the 93rd minute.
Maycon, who initially received a yellow card for the brutal tackle, was subsequently sent off after the Video Assistant Referee intervened.
