- Thomas Partey picked up an injury during a training session
- The injury saw him miss Arsenal's 3-1 epic win over Man United at the Emirates
- It remains unclear when the Ghanaian will be back in action
Arsenal midfield maestro Thomas Partey could miss up to six matches following his latest injury setback.
The Ghana international is believed to have picked up the injury last Thursday during a training session.
The injury was confirmed by the Ghanaian FA, which released a statement over the weekend ruling him out of the upcoming international break.
Partey was not involved in Arsenal's latest outing against rivals Manchester United, where the north Londoners secured a 3-1 dramatic win at the Emirates.
The Guardian reports that the Gunners came from a goal down scored by Marcus Rashford to see off Erik ten Hag's men.
Which games will Partey miss?
According to Metro UK, the former Atletico Madrid midfielder is likely to be out for up to six weeks.
During the period, the Ghanaian is likely to miss at least six fixtures, including the north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.
Clashes against Bournemouth and Manchester City are the other matches he is expected to miss.
While he could be ready to face Chelsea on October 21, Arsenal's Champions League games against PSV Eindhoven and Lens could come too soon for him.
Partey may also fail to feature in Arsenal's EFL Cup third-round meeting away at Brentford.
Asked when the midfielder could be back, Mikel Arteta was coy on the subject, insisting he is not sure about the timelines.
Partey dropped from Ghana squad
