Barcelona starlet, Gavi proudly displayed his repaired ear following Sunday's dramatic 2-1 La Liga victory over Osasuna.

After colliding with Ruben Garcia at El Sadar, the 19-year-old playmaker suffered a horrific injury which left him lying on the ground with blood streaming down the side of his face.

According to Football Espana, the Barcelona medical team was able to patch up the wound in question using a set of surgical staples.

Gavi was able to complete the full 90 minutes of the game but does have a painful reminder of how much effort was required in order for the reigning La Liga champions to collect all three points.

Gavi makes 100th Barcelona appearance

Meanwhile, Gavi set an incredible record during Barcelona’s victory against Osasuna as he became the youngest player to reach 100 appearances for the Catalan giants, SPORT reports.

The 19-year-old midfielder made his official debut for the La Liga club on August 29, 2021, against Getafe at Camp Nou under Ronald Koeman, coming on as a substitute for Sergi Roberto.

Gavi has managed to reach the figure for Barcelona at the age of just 19 years and 29 days, surpassing the previous records held by Bojan Krkic and club legend, Lionel Messi.

Lewandowski penalty earns Barca tight win

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Lewandowski rolling home a late penalty to earn Barcelona a hard-fought 2-1 win at Osasuna in La Liga on Sunday.

The legendary Polish striker won the penalty for his team when he was tugged back in the opposing box by Alejandro Catena, who was sent off.

Barcelona took the lead through Jules Kounde's header in the first half but Chimy Avila drilled the hosts level with less than 15 minutes remaining.
