Marcus Rashford has broken a 10-year Manchester United record after finding the back of the net against Arsenal on Sunday, September 3.

The United forward was part of the starting XI as the Red Devils took on the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.

The Guardian reports that Rashford wasted no time finding the back of the net as he opened the scoring in the 27th minute of the cracker.

The winger fired home the opener after thrashing a right-footed shot across goal to beat Aaron Ramsdale, who was between the sticks for the north Londoners.

According to OptaJoe, Rashford's goal saw him become only the second Man United player to score in three consecutive Premier League appearances against Arsenal.

Robin van Persie is the only other United player to have previously managed the feat, with the ex-Gunners ace doing this between 2012 and 2013 when he joined the Red Devils.

Arsenal staged comeback to down Man United

Meanwhile, Rashford's goal was not enough to help United see off the Gunners, who staged a stunning comeback to hammer the visitors 3-1.

Martin Odegaard needed just a minute to cancel out United's opener before two late goals from Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus took the game beyond the reach of Erik ten Hag's charges.

The Old Trafford dwellers, who have won two of their four opening matches, will be hoping to return to winning ways when they play Brighton after the international break.

Fans troll Onana

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Andre Onana once again found himself on the receiving end after a difficult outing with Manchester United against Arsenal.

The Cameroonian was between the sticks during United's trip to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, September 3.

However, he had an evening to forget, shipping in three goals as the Gunners humbled the Red Devils at home.
