Declan Rice has finally scored his first goal for Arsenal, weeks after he joined the north London club.

The England international swapped West Ham United for the Gunners during the just-concluded summer transfer window.

According to Sky Sports, Arsenal forked out an eyewatering £105million to land the services of the highly-rated midfielder.

Rice went on to pen a five-year contract at the Emirates in a deal that will keep him at the club until 2028.

However, he had to wait until Sunday, September 3, to open his goal account for his new club against Manchester United.

The Englishman had failed to find the back of the net in Arsenal's three opening fixtures of the new season.

The Guardian reports that Rice found the back of the net after he was set up by Bukayo Saka during added time.

Arsenal sink Man United

Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard were among the goalscorers as Arsenal humbled Man United at the Emirates Stadium.

Marcus Rashford scored the opener for the visitors in the 27th minute, only for Odegaard to restore parity two minutes later.

Alejandro Garnacho thought he had won it for United when he came on as a substitute, but his effort was chalked off by VAR.

Rice went on to make it 2-1 for Arsenal before Gabriel Jesus took the game beyond the Red Devils.

Fans troll Onana

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Andre Onana once again found himself on the receiving end after a difficult outing with Manchester United against Arsenal.

The Cameroonian was between the sticks during United's trip to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, September 3.

However, he had an evening to forget, shipping in three goals as the Gunners humbled the Red Devils at home.

Onana has now conceded seven goals in four Premier League games of the new season.
