Sergio Ramos remains one of football’s highly coveted free agents following the Spanish defender’s exit from French club Paris Saint Germain.
The 37-year-old defender who recently returned to his best form following a long struggle with injuries, was a mainstay in Christophe Galtier’s PSG team in his second and last season at the Parisian club.
Since announcing his exit from PSG, Ramos has fallen short of offering from European clubs and far away in North America. The defender recently turned down offerings from Turkish giants Galatasaray and Besiktas after failing with reports stating both club’s offerings fell short of the defender’s expectations.
However, the former Real Madrid captain may just be bringing to an end speculations surrounding his future following reports from Footmercato that he has received an offer from a Saudi Pro League club.
Saudi club wants Ramos
Saudi pro league club Al Ittihad has sent an offering to Ramos. The defender is reportedly considering the offer from the club and could decide as early as this week to join the Saudi giant.
Al Ittihad, the current champions of the Saudi Pro League, have recently bolstered their ranks with stars across Europe, including Fabinho, Ngolo Kante and former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, a teammate with Ramos.
Reports from ESPN state that Ramos will need to travel to Saudi Arabia in the next week to negotiate a deal and finalise the transfer before he completes a medical with the club.
