Cristiano Ronaldo's debut season in Saudi Arabia didn't unfold entirely as anticipated.

While the 38-year-old netted numerous goals, he failed to secure a trophy with Al-Nassr, an unusual outcome for the legendary Portuguese player.

But this season has had a different aura from the get-go.

Al-Nassr clinched the Arab Club Champions Cup with an extra-time victory against Al-Hilal and secured a spot in the 2023-2024 AFC Champions League through a remarkable comeback win in the playoff round.

Ronaldo played a pivotal role in both instances, especially in the Cup final, where he found the net twice.

Although their Saudi Pro League campaign started with two defeats, the team has made a significant comeback in the past three matchdays, with Ronaldo taking centre stage.

On Saturday, Ronaldo scored yet again and assisted on two other goals in Al-Nassr's 5-1 win over Al-Hazem.

With this goal, Ronaldo has achieved a historic milestone, becoming the first player in the history of the sport to score 850 official goals in their career.

That goal marked his sixth in the past three matches, and he has also provided four assists during the same three-game stretch. He currently holds the top position in the league for both goals and assists.

With Ronaldo in peak form, Al-Nassr can dare to dream of even more trophies on the horizon. They currently trail the top spot in the league standings by just four points.

How Al-Nassr thumped Al-Hazm

Ronaldo also contributed with two assists as Al Nassr secured their third consecutive victory in the Saudi Pro League, Sports Brief reported earlier.

The 38-year-old played a pivotal role in setting up Abdulrahman Ghareeb for the game's opening goal in the 33rd minute. Abdullah Al-Khaibari then extended Al Nassr's lead just before half-time with a splendid volley from a corner kick.

Muhammed Badamosi pulled one back for Al-Hazm shortly after halftime, but Al Nassr regained their two-goal advantage, making it 3-1 in the 57th minute, with another assist from Ronaldo. Al Nassr's third goal was beautifully finished by Otavio, capping off a fantastic team move
